October 29

Omaha North held on to the early lead to claim the 19-14 win over visiting Papillion LaVista Friday night.

The Vikings opened the scoring in the first quarter when Jay Pitschka connected with Bogan on a 12-yard touchdown pass and Kilpatrick added the extra point for the 7-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Pitschka found Donte Shackelford for a 16-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter giving North the 13-8 lead at the half.

Both teams were held scoreless in the third quarter but North reclaimed the lead and the win in the fourth on a 15-yard touchdown run by Rogers Tucker. Tucker recorded 99 yards on 25 carries with Shackelford adding 79 yards on seven receptions. Jay Pitschka completed 16 of 25 passes for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Omaha North hosts Omaha Bryan for the final regular season game Thursday night.

October 18

Omaha North was unable to complete their comeback attempt against the Millard South Patriots before the clock ran out in Thursday night's 42-28 loss at Buell Stadium.

The Vikings opened up the scoring in the first quarter when Donte Shackelford scored on a 9-yard pass from Jay Pitschka to claim the early 7-0 lead. Millard tied the score in the first quarter then opened up a 28 point lead in the second quarter.

North came back strong in the second half scoring two unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter. Donte Shackelford and Jay Pitschka connected on a 75-yard pass and again on a 9-yard pass in the third quarter to narrow the Patriot lead to 35-21 at the end of the third quarter.  Pitschka found Shackelford one more time in the fourth quarter with a 61-yard touchdown pass to end the scoring for the Vikings.

Omaha North hosts Papillion LaVista next Friday night.

****October 11 

Omaha North faced a tough Bellevue East defense in Friday night's 7-18 loss.

Brandon Terry scored on a 7-yard pass from Jay Pitschka in the second quarter to put the Vikings on the scoreboard with Kilpatrick adding the extra point. Dontae Shackelford had four carries for 88 yards for North but the Vikings were unable to add to the score in the second half.

Omaha North faces Millard South Thursday night.

In a first half defensive battle, Omaha North claimed a 7-0 first half lead over Omaha Burke Friday night.

In the only score of the half, North quarterback Jay Pitschka scored on a 1-yard run while the North defense held Burke scoreless.

The second half opened with Burke scoring twice in the third quarter with an insurance goal in the fourth. North attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter scoring on a 10-yard pass from Pitschka to Derrale Shaw but the clock ran out giving Burke the 21-14 win.

Rogers Tucker finished the night with 79 yards on 21 carries leaving the game in the third quarter with a leg injury. 

Omaha North will travel to Bellevue East for Friday night's match up.

Omaha North responded to the Lincoln High opening score by adding two touchdowns on a 23-yard and 70-yard run by Rogers Tucker to take a 14-6 lead after the first quarter in Friday night's game.

North added two more touchdowns in the second quarter on 1-yard run by Pitschka and a 33-yard pass from Pitschka to Shakelford for the 28-6 halftime lead.

Omaha North's defense held Lincoln High to one more touchdown in their comeback attempt in the third quarter while the offense added an insurance touchdown in the fourth on an 80-yard run by Tucker. North defeated visiting Lincoln High 35-13.

Omaha North hosts Omaha Burke on Friday night.

Omaha North took a 7-6 halftime lead over host Omaha Northwest in Friday night's game.

Both teams scored in the third quarter and Northwest took the early lead in the fourth quarter to lead 18-15 with five minutes remaining. Rogers Tucker then made an incredible run, evading 2 tackles on the 24-yard run to the end zone to give North the 22-18 lead. The Viking defense held Northwest in their next drive with Brendaen Terry making his third interception of the night sealing the win for North.

Omaha North hosts Lincoln High on Friday night.
