October 29 Millard South opened up a 14-0 halftime lead over Millard North Thursday night at Buell Stadium. Matt Martin scored early in the first quarter on a 32-yard touchdown run to give the Patriots the early lead. The Millard South offense continued to put points on the board in the second quarter when Troy Mattehews scored on a 2-yard touchdown run followed by a Matt Martin connecting with Adam Schwartz. The Patriot defense held Millard North scoreless through the first three quarters to secure a 14-6 win for Millard South.  October 23 Millard South came back from a 16-0 halftime deficit to claim a 17-16 win Friday night over visiting Bellevue East to advance to 6-2 on the season. The Patriots defense held visiting Bellevue East scoreless in the second half as the offense got on track with a 5-yard touchdown run by Martin in the third quarter. Millard South scored again in the fourth on another 5-yard touchdown run by Matthews and a 22-yard field goal by Denson to claim the lead. The Patriot defense held strong against the Bellevue East comeback attempt to claim the 17-16 win as the clock ran out. Millard South hosts Millard North in the final regular season game at Buell Stadium Thursday night. October 18 Millard South capitalized on a second quarter scoring run to claim a 42-28 win over Omaha North Thursday night at Buell Stadium. The Patriots tied the score in the first quarter on a 40-yard punt return by Beau Kildow and then opened up a 35-7 lead at half. In the second quarter the Patriots scored on 4 unanswered touchdowns started by Tony Plaza's 6-yard touchdown run. Millard South then scored on an Omaha North safety. Troy Matthews scored the next two touchdowns for Millard South on a 3-yard run and a 2-yard run. Quarterback Matt Martin finished the Patriots scoring at the half on a 1-yard touchdown run. The Patriots added to their score in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard touchdown run by Matt Martin to secure the 42-28 win for Millard South. The Patriots host Bellevue East next Friday night. ***October 11 The Patriots took an early 10-0 lead after the first quarter in Friday nights 31-20 win over Omaha Burke. Millard South scored again in the second quarter on a 5-yard run by Troy Matthews and a field goal by Aaron Denson to take a 19-7 lead at the half. The Patriots defense limited the Burke scoring as South held on for the 31-20 win. The Patriots host Omaha North Thursday night. *****10/2 The Millard South Patriots lost to host Omaha Bryan 20-24 Friday night. The Patriots were held scoreless in the first quarter but came back in the second when Matthews scored on a 3-yard run. Millard South attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter scoring on a 59-yard Kildow reception from Martin and a 28-yard Plaza reception from Martin before the clock ran out. The Patriots travel to Omaha Burke for Friday night's match up. **** September 24  Millard South scored first in their battle with Millard West on Friday night on a Matt Martin 1-yard run in the second quarter. The Wildcats answered to tie the score at 6 at the half. The Patriot offense was unable to add to the score in the second half as Millard South dropped to 3-1 on the season in the 13-6 loss to Millard West. The Patriots will visit Omaha Bryan for Friday night's game. ***** Septemer 18 Under the direction of first-year head coach Andy Means Millard South is off to a 3-0 start in 2004.  On Friday night, the Patriots easily handled visiting Columbus by the final of 21-0. A 29-yard field goal from Aaron Denson gave MS the first points of the night.  Back-to-back touchdowns made it 17-0 Patriots in the 2nd quarter.  Then, Troy Matthews blocked back-to-back Columbus punts out of the end zone for safties to give his team a 21-0 advantage at the half.  Neither team scored in the final two quarters. Now, the Patriots will turn their attention to this week's big time matchup with undefeated (3-0) Millard West. 9/8 In a battle for Top Ten status, Millard South rolled to a 31-20 win over the Burke Bulldogs behind the running of Troy Matthews, who scored on TD runs of 5 and 62 yards. Coach Andy Means also singled out Matt Martin, who Means said is giving his team added versatility with Martin's running and passing. The Patriots entertain Omaha North Thursday night.
