10/22 Omaha Northwest spotted unbeaten Omaha Westside a 17 point first period lead and never recovered, falling to the Warriors, 45-21.

A steady mist didn't help the Huskie cause as they repeatedly bobbled the ball, leaving themselves in poor field position. Brenton Hunter threw 3 touchdown passes for the Huskies, who moved the ball well at times. Hunter hooked up with Matt Derry for an 8 yard pass that drew Northwest to within 10 at 17-7 in the first quarter. In the 4th period, Hunter threw TD passes of 12 and 40 yards to Jake Svoboda and John Evans, respectively.

Northwest is now 1-7 on the year.

9/8 It was just a matter of time before someone paid for Omaha Northwest's tough start. That someone was a tough Omaha Bryan team, who fell to the Huskies, 16-10. The game went into overtime and after Bryan missed a field goal, Northwest, capitalized on an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after the play, taking over at the 5 yard line. Sean Kosiba blasted over from the 5 on the first play and the Huskies had the win. Coach George Drennan praised his team for a terrific performance on both sides of the ball.

Omaha Northwest  hosted a tough Millard North team Friday night coming up short in the 14-48 game.
