You can't blame the Crimson Pride if they want to play at Westside for home games. Roncalli's Jason Huck must like the playing surface. He ran for 139 yards and 3 touchdowns while Sean Mulcahy added 59 yards and a score as Schuyler went down to defeat 28-21. The Pride led 13-nothing after one quarter, and matched the visitors touchdown for touchdown in the 2nd half. Roncalli must face Elkhorn Mt. Michael and Elkhorn in the next two weeks before closing the regular season against Blair.
Omaha Roncalli saw it's record even out at 1-1 after dropping a 26-7 decision to Omaha Gross. The Pride and Nebraska can commisserate with each other as both teams can point to turnovers as a main reason for the setback. Gross took advantage of a fumbled punt inside the Pride 20 for its first score. While rolling to a pair of victories with a potent passing attack, the Cougars stayed on the ground as Mike McVay scored 3 times inside the 10 yard line.
Next action for Roncalli will be Friday night against the Gretna Dragons.
