Omaha South claimed a 39-24 win over Omaha Central Wednesday night to earn a spot in the state playoffs.
The Packers responded to Central's early lead when T.J. Douglas scored on an 8-yard touchdown run in the first quarter giving South the 7-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.
South added 15 points in the second quarter on a Moss 2-yard touchdown run and a 22-yard touchdown run by Hankins to claim a 22-18 halftime lead. The Packers reclaimed the lead in the third quarter when Douglas connected with Locke on an 8-yard touchdown pass to go up 29-24 at the end of the third quarter.
The South defense held Central scoreless in the fourth quarter as the offense secured the win with a 58-yard touchdown run by Moss and a 27-yard field goal by Seehausen.
10/22 Omaha South scored in the final 4 minutes to deny Papillion Lavista South its first win of the year. The Packers prevailed 19-15 as Cliff Moss scored the last of his 3 touchdowns. He finished the evening with 149 yards on 27 carries. The Packers fumbled 4 times, but recovered all of them while the Titans lost 2 of their 3 fumbles. South closes the season with a battle against Omaha Northwest Wednesday at Nile Kinnick Stadium.
October 18
The Omaha South Packers claimed a 7-0 win over Omaha Benson Friday night at Berquist Stadium.
The Packers scored the only touchdown in the game on a T.J. Douglas touchdown run. Cliff Moss added 193 yards rushing for the Packers on 34 carries.
Omaha South faces host Papillion LaVista South Friday night.

Omaha South scored two late touchdowns in a 49-13 loss to #1 Millard West Thursday night.
Clifford Moss scored on a 3-yard run with Richard Seehausen adding the extra point to put South on the scoreboard. Jermaine Hankins added to the South score with an 85-yard touchdown run for the final touchdown of the game.
Omaha South hosts Omaha Benson next Friday night.

Omaha South battled Creighton Prep at Caniglia Field Friday night in the 35-0 loss.
The South defense held the Junior Jays scoreless in the second half but the offense was never able to get on track against the tough Prep defense. Philip Barrientos ran for 109 yards on 24 carries for South in the game.
Omaha South travels to Millard West for a Thursday a Thursday night game.

Omaha South captured a 34-20 win over Omaha Northwest Thursday night to advance to 2-2 for the season. The Packers gained 352 yards rushing with 40 passing yards in the win.
Omaha Northwest opened the scoring in the game that was answered by a 39-yard scoring run by Cliff Moss for a 6-7 score at the end of the first quarter. South responded with two more touchdowns in the second quarter when Brian Locke scored on a 29-yard run and Cliff Moss scored again on a 1-yard run to take a 21-14 lead at the half.
Both teams were held scoreless in the third quarter but South answered twice in the fourth on short runs by Philip Barrientos and Kyle Loehr to give the Packers the 34-20 victory.
South travels to Creighton Prep for the October 1 game.

The Omaha South Packers drop to 1-2 following Friday night's 20-58 loss to Papillion Lavista. The Packers struggled offensively in the first half. Second half scoring was started with Brian Locke's 34-yard run in the third quarter to put South on the scoreboard with Richard Seehausen adding the extra point. In the fourth quarter South added to the score on a 43-yard run by Clifford Moss with Seehausen adding the extra point and a 45-yard run by Jermaine Hankins.
South will host Omaha Northwest on Thursday.
